You are invited to attend our next Guardian Training Session. Anyone wishing to go on an Honor Flight as a guardian will be required to attend a Guardian Training Session prior to the flight. A number of training sessions will be held around the Southern Arizona region over the coming months.

From Green Valley – take La Canada Dr north all the way thru Helmet Peak/Sahuarita Rd and into the resort.  Club house is on the left – drive to the entrance and a volunteer will help you out and park your car.

From Tucson – take I-19 south to the Sahuarita Rd exit.  Turn right at the light and take your first right in to the resort.  Club house is on the left – drive to the entrance and a volunteer will help you out and park your car.

2014 3rd ANNUAL GOLF Tournament

Honor Flight Southern Arizona will be hosting the 3rd Annual Golf Tournament to benefit WWII Veterans on Friday August 22, 2014 at Quarry Pines Golf Club. This year's Tournament will be sponsored by The Law Office of David K. Kovalik - a long time supporter of Honor Flight Southern Arizona. Saturday March 22, 2014 was the first ever kart race held to honor our WWII veterans and Honor Flight Southern Arizona.  Keller Williams and Musselman Honda Circuit got together to put this event on, and was well supported by local businesses and our community.

The event was an endurance race for laps completed in the allotted time frame which ran from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (6 hours).  The winning team was the Jim Click Automotive with 434 laps, followed in second place by Parker Automotive with 428 laps, and third place went to Team UPS with 428 laps (+36 seconds).

9 WWII Veterans were on hand to watch the activities, including veteran Paul Velasco (US Army) who rode in the Pace Car to get the race started.

The 2nd of these sessions will be held Saturday March 1st, from 9:00am to noon in the SWA Gallery at the Tucson International Airport

Save the Date:  Musselman Honda and the Leach Wilson Team from Keller Williams are putting together a fundraising event to benefit Honor Flight Southern Arizona. Sign up now to reserve a team (limited space available). Anyone interested in putting together a team please fill out our Operation Race for Vets Registration Form or call (520) 730-3887 for details.

Each team to receive:
- 1 Kart with your company logo
- Up to 15 team members (Pit crew, drivers, etc.)
- Staging area for team
- Meal tickets for each member

The Race for Vets will run for 6 hours and there will be an race announcer to promote the sponsors. There will also be prizes, entertainment, and a concession stand so everyone is welcome.

Java1Big Band Sounds of Green Valley will again be presenting a benefit concert for Honor Flight Southern Arizona beginning at noon at Posada Java (665 S. Park Centre Avenue in Green Valley).

Come join us for a cup of Joe while you mingle with some WWII Vets and listen to some great old tunes!
